Electoral Literacy Clubs are platforms set up by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to promote voter awareness and electoral literacy among citizens, especially youth. Started in 2018 under the SVEEP program – Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation – ELCs aim to build an informed and ethical electorate. Main Objectives of ELC is to educate, engage & empower student community to promote values of inclusivity, ethical voting, and rejection of money/muscle power. ELCs turn classrooms into mini-democracies so young people learn that voting isn’t just a right, it’s a responsibility. They create future voters today, ethical voters tomorrow.

Structure:

Each ELC has a Nodal Officer + student members called Campus Ambassadors.
