National Service Scheme is a Central Sector Scheme launched in 1969 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India. Its motto is “Not Me But You”, which reflects a deep commitment to community service and selfless participation, aiming to transform students into socially conscious citizens. By adhering to the philosophy of education through service, the program allows students to learn by doing, ensuring that communities benefit while participants simultaneously gain leadership, empathy, and practical skills. The main objectives of NSS are centred on personality development, community linkage, civic responsibility and skill building. Blood donation Camps are frequently conducted by the NSS Units and was honoured by Sree Chithra Thirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology and All Kerala Blood Donors Forum



Share a Meal is the signature activity of AJ College NSS Unit. Food packets are being distributed every month to needy at the Chirayinkeezhu Taluk Hospital.















The NSS Units of our college was awarded with Certificate of Appreciation & Memento for the best unit and Best Volunteer by Samskara Sahithi & University of Kerala. The award was bagged consequently for four years by the Unit under University of Kerala.
